Our little guy’s name is Deegan. He is a 5 month old Black-Lab / Chow mix. He is my child, my baby. Friday January 11th, he broke his leg playing in the living, jumping too high and landing the worst way. We are devastated. Emergency pet hospital bills ran us just under 1000.00$ just for the X-rays, splint on his leg and a few days of pain medication.
The X-rays show a fracture in his left femur. The bottom of the femur bone forms the knee joint with the tibia bone.
We need to have the surgery to make sure he has the best and longest life possible. We are told with the surgery he should recover normaly, without it his leg will most likely not grow nearly as much as it should. The surgery is needed in the next 5 days before it starts healing naturally or in the wrong spot.We are trying to raise 3000.00$ to cover the surgery, the one night boarding fee, the anesthesia and pain medication for a few days, and the X-rays after for a check up.
We love our pup no matter what, we jsut dont want to see him in pain.
